  • All video conferencing programs used in these services are compliant with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and Personal Information Protection Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Virtual Supportive Care

  • Addresses needs of a psychosocial and spiritual nature.
  • Is accessible to all Hospice Palliative Care Team(HPCT) clients and their family members.

Virtual Grief Discussion Groups

  • Offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment to discuss topics relating to grief with other like-minded people.
  • Are open to the community at large.
  • All people having experienced the death of a loved one are welcome to attend, no matter the relationship or where you are at in your grief process.
  • Participants may attend one time or as often as needed.
  • Occur twice a month (dates to be announced on our website or call Hospice for more info).

Virtual Individual Grief Coaching

  • Individual coaching is available on an appointment basis.
  • This service is available to the community at large.
  • Is offered by a Supportive Care and Grief Services Clinician.

Virtual Grief Recovery Method Program (GRM)

  • Is facilitated by two trained Certified Grief Recovery Specialists.
  • Two hours per week for a period of 8 weeks.
  • Helps participants identify patterns related to how they deal with a loss and offers tools to help them develop a new approach to loss.
  • Is available to the community at large.
  • Is offered on an individual basis.
    i. Virtual group sessions will be available in the near future.

Education

  • Workshops relating to grief and bereavement.
