ON-CALL SNOW REMOVAL ATTENDANT

Must be available and fit to work when called in or when snow accumulation reaches 2 inches

POSITION SUMMARY
Snow Removal & DE-icing Services

Attendant will perform snow shovelling and/or snow blowing of walkways and entrances.
Snow blowing of some parking spaces may be required due to significant snowfall and delays with our service provider.
Attendant will apply DE-icing material to walkways and entrances.
Services will start when snow accumulation has reached 2 inches or when called in.
Work will include nights and weekends.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Necessary:
Clear criminal record
Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
Preferred:
Experience in a related position an asset
Fluency in English & French an asset
Experience / Skills:
Physical ability to perform the duties of the assigned position
Able to shovel snow and lift related loads of up to 15kgs.
Extensive lifting, kneeling, bending, standing and squatting required
Able to withstand cold and stormy weather conditions
Able to work independently and follow appropriate safety procedures
Positive attendance record
SALARY
Starting at $20.25 per hour (minimum of 3 hours per call)
